This class is a great place to start if you’re looking to learn how to crochet, or if you’ve never picked up a hook and want some extra guidance along the way.

We’ll cover the basics of how to hold your yarn and hook, how to create the chain stitch, how to make stitches in specific places, and how to increase and decrease stitches. We'll also talk about how to read patterns (and how they can be misleading!).

By the end of this course, you'll have created a "basic" scarf that will serve as your first project for when you get home-and all the confidence in the world that comes with being able to do it yourself!

This class is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of crochet. It will cover:

• How to hold the hook and yarn
• How to chain and slip stitch
• How to make a basic granny square (with several variations)
• How to do a single crochet and half double crochet
• How to change colors while crocheting

Once you've mastered these basic skills, you'll be ready to move on to more advanced crochet techniques!
